Tonya Schieler

Witnessing the miracle of birth never grows old for me. As a certified birth doula, I love being a part of a team and forming a relationship with my clients in order to learn how to best serve them. It is my privilege to support moms and their partners through the prenatal period and as they plan for the birth they desire.

It's an honor to be invited into homes and lives to serve families as they adjust and welcome baby home. As a certified postpartum doula, I love the opportunity to support families practically and emotionally through this life-changing adventure. As much as I love the satisfaction of seeing parents gain confidence in their new role, I miss them when our partnership is complete!

MY STORY

Why I love being a doula in Illinois and Wisconsin

"Doula" is a biblical term that means "servant," but has come to mean a woman who helps in birth and postpartum care. I love the opportunities to witness the miracle of birth; I've always loved caring for babies; and I have a passion for serving women and their partners as they grow their families.

Dawn Doula Services is named after my sister Angela Dawn. Although no longer here on earth, she still impacts my life. Dawn can also represent new life and new beginnings, and I love how this reflects the birth of a child.

You are the expert on your child: God has placed your baby in your family intentionally. Therefore, whether serving as a doula or a sleep consultant, it's my joy to help you achieve your goals for your family.

I am a different person because of Jesus and his love for me, and I pray for every one of my clients. I'm happy to discuss additional spiritual support if you are interested.
